During a session you remain fully clothed. You will lie on a massage bed, generally on your back but sometimes your side or front, so it is best to wear something comfortable that does not restrict your breathing or ability to relax.
I do not prescribe a fixed amount of sessions – this needs to be determined on an individual basis and in collaboration with you, the client. However, as a therapeutic modality, cranio is best appreciated when it is approached as a journey/form of body psychology. It strives towards paced, long-lasting healing rather than temporary relief. When dealing with a particular concern, people will generally come weekly/fortnightly initially and then reduce to once a month as maintenance.
When you come for a session, we will discuss your reasons for coming and medical history, but as a craniosacral therapist, I do not offer medical diagnosis.
